One evening, after a hard day of work, I was taking it easy and flipping through channels when I stopped on CBS to watch Undercover Boss. One tiny part of that episode completely changed my perspective about my job. It featured the CEO of a waste management company, Larry, who was working out in the field with Fred, one of his many employees. So, you ask, what were Larry and Fred doing that was so life-altering for me? They were cleaning portable toilets.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The reason that impacted me was because of the attitude Fred exuded while doing what most consider a disgusting job. He constantly had a smile on his face, was thankful to be employed and knew the great quality of his work contributed to the overall success of the company.
