The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department oversees an impressive system: 15 parks, two aquatic facilities, a community center, and a Bike Hostel offering both active and passive leisure options.
Historic Downtown Farmington is home to amazing architectural styles from Greek Revival to Beaux Arts architecture. Downtown Farmington is home to 26 historic buildings and multiple mom and pop shops!
The Farmington region is surrounded by beautiful city and state parks, picturesque wineries, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a movie theater, and so much more!
If you're staying in Farmington and looking for a day trip in the great outdoors, you’ll find yourself within 30 minutes of St. Joe State Park, Elephant Rocks, Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Taum Sauk Mountain, the Battle of Pilot Knob Civil War site, and many more unique destinations.
We also have four scenic golf courses nearby, along with disc golf courses, baseball fields, tennis courts, and an indoor recreational gym.
