Womack brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Chamber having chaired the organization in 1998 and as an active member of the Board of Directors for many years since.
“I am excited to start a new challenge within the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce and look forward to working with the team to further develop relationships within our region that will foster business success, improve the economic environment and enhance the quality of life of the businesses and residents of our community” stated Womack. “The Chamber of Commerce plays an important role in the community and an increasingly active role in the area. I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the organization as we continue along that path.”
Becky Thompson, Chamber Vice-President of Community & Member Engagement said, “It was important to the search committee that we find the right person to not only join our outstanding team of staff members, but to find a leader with the foresight and determination to lead our organization into the future. We are confident that the skills, qualifications and background Dick brings to the position will strengthen our organization and make us better prepared to meet the needs of our members, our neighbors and our community as a whole.”
Dick and his wife of 24 years, Donna, have lived in Farmington since 1992 raising two children, Lauren and Adam. While many recognize Dick as the General Manager of KTJJ/KREI/KJFF radio stations, he has also been a long-time supporter of numerous organizations throughout the region. Past accomplishments include Chairman of the Missouri Broadcasters Association, Chairman of the Farmington Regional Chamber of Commerce, President of the Parkland Council of Chambers, Co-Chairman “Celebration of the Centuries” (Farmington’s Bicentennial Celebration), Board Member for the SEMO Violence Council, Member Farmington Industrial Development Authority and recipient of the Distinguished Broadcaster Award from the Missouri Broadcasters Association. “Life is more complex than in the past for all of us and with government regulations and changing economic conditions it is important that we have a cohesiveness of interests throughout the Parkland. No community is an island and what benefits one of us, benefits us all. I look forward to working with others to build unity in our area by joining forces towards our common goals.” stated Womack.E-mail Dick
